Contact Eddie

Good to meet you.
If we got talking and you want to pick it back up, everything you need is on this page.
A bit about me
I'm Eddie Yu. I run EDCAN, a British e-commerce business based in Surrey. Our main brand is Martian Made: pillows and bedding under Martian Dreams, candles and home fragrance under Martian Fire. We sell on Amazon, on our own Shopify store, and through Debenhams, Tesco, B&Q and eBay.
I've been selling on Amazon for nine years. Before that I spent fourteen years running a web design and technology business, and a long stretch doing SEO, which is how I ended up understanding the ranking side of Amazon better than most people who sell there. I wrote a book a while back called 12 Startup Success Secrets. This year I was shortlisted for Consumer Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Outside work I'm usually cooking, in the garden, or losing an evening to an open-world game I said I'd finish months ago.
What I can help with
Two things, depending on what you need.
Amazon. I've built Martian Made into a 7-figure brand on Amazon over nine years, without outside investment. Which means I've made most of the mistakes already and paid for all of them. Listings, advertising, launches, account health, the compliance side, working out whether a product is even worth putting on there.
I take on a small number of brands on a fractional basis. Usually a day or two a month on an ongoing retainer, which is enough to keep things moving properly without carrying the cost of a full agency. If you'd rather start with a one-off piece of work to see whether we get on, that's fine too.
AI and automation. This is Avocado AI. We produce blog and site content at volume for Shopify, WordPress and Wix stores, and I build automation systems in Airtable and Make for businesses drowning in manual work. Everything I sell here I've already built for my own business first, which is a useful filter.
I'm Make Advanced Certified, and I'm an Airtable MVP. The MVP programme is a small invite-only group for people building serious things on the platform, and Airtable picked me for it directly.
The content pipeline runs on your actual brand voice rather than a generic model writing about your industry in general terms. On the PR side I've built a system that monitors ResponseSource and surfaces the journalist requests worth answering, so coverage stops being a thing you hope for and starts being a thing you work.

If you're not sure which of these two applies to you, book a call and we'll work it out.
Three ways to take this further
Book some time. Twenty minutes, no pitch, no slides. Tell me what you're working on and I'll tell you honestly what I'd do about it. If I'm not the right person, I'll usually know someone who is.
